More info on Samuel
From his online death record, it says that he was born 16 March 1870 in Ontario, Canada. It was noted that his Father was Andrew Weir and his mother was noted as UNKNOWN. At the time of his death he separated. Searching the BC online marriage records found a marriage for Samuel and a Elma Etta Callbeck on 28 July 1930, in Bruce County, Ontario. This confirms the name of Sam's mother being Mary Armstrong. The marriage record says that Sam was already a widower in 1930, and Elma has never been married. Elma passed in April 1964. There was a obit in the Vancouver Sun on May 2, 1964. There is no mentioned of family,or sons or daughters.
