From his online death record, It states he was born on 6 October 1884 in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. His Father was John James Hewitson and his Mother was Mary Jane Vick. There is some question about the name of Mother. On the Manitoba Vital database it says his Mother was Euphemia Swinton. He was Single and worked as a Longshoreman. No obit was published on his death
