Samuel Hayes Williams, born in England 1867? - 1940 Essondale hospital, Coquitlam, B.C.. On Christmas day 1939 Samuel shot his neighbour Edwin Simpson ( 1880 -1959 ); he was sent to Oakalla prison, a jury found him insane and Samuel was then sent to Essondale, where he spent the last four months of his life.
Samuel died of a coronary, complicated by artheriosclerosis, and artheriosclerotic dementia.
