Four interactive (4’x4’) picture puzzles commissioned for the Vancouver Art Gallery satellite exhibition program — The Racetrack Gallery at the Pacific National Exhibition Grandstand. The gallery was described as a free (and freewheeling) extension of the VAG, January through March, 1970. The puzzles were made of 6 ply laminated  corrugated cardboard. Each puzzle had the image of a cast iron manhole cover on one sided with a photographic representation of an art-less urban/industrial planting, the type of architectural landscape you find at the base of sky scrapers in the downtown core) on the other. The pieces were reversible and interchangeable allowing for abstract variations of the original images.
